The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment supports manpower development in the field of rehabilitation through National Institutes, which offer a number of courses for which All India Entrance Test is being conducted. Amongst them, there are 4 UG courses (4 years + 6 months internship / 4 years + 1 year internship) offered in Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Cuttack and Guwahati.

Application deadline for the 2024 entrance test is 20 May 2024.

The entrance test for the 5 participating institutes is being conducted by The Chairman, CET-2024, C/O Director, Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training & Research (SVNIRTAR), Olatpur, PO: Bairoi, Dist: Cuttack-754010 (ODISHA)

Courses

(i) Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) (4 Yr + 6 month internship)

(ii) Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT) (4 Yr + 6 month internship)

(iii) Bachelor of Prosthetics & Orthotics (BPO) (4 Yr + 6 month internship)

(iv) Bachelor of Audiology & Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) (4 Yr + 1 year internship)

Eligibility

a) Age: No bar for BASLP. For other courses, minimum age of 17 years on or before 31 Dec of the year of admission. No upper age limit.

b) Nationality: The candidate should be an Indian / Foreign Nationals particularly from neighbouring South East Asian Countries.

c) Academics

For BPT and BOT. students must have studied PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) in 10+2 (or equivalent).

For BPO, both PCM as well as PCB students are eligible.

For BASLP, the applicant should have studied Physics, Chemistry and any one of the subject Biology / Mathematics / Computer Science / Statistics / Electronics / Psychology.
